Bio

David Phillip Roe (born July 21, 1945) is an American politician and physician who is the U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 1st congressional district, serving since 2009. He is a member of the Republican Party. The district is based in the Tri-Cities area in the northeastern portion of the state. In 2017, Roe became chairman of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs. Roe announced in January 2020 that he will not run for re-election in 2020.
